چکیده

Antimicrobial resistance is an important health issue in human and veterinary medicine. The aim of this study was to monitor the antimicrobial three most bacteria involved porcine respiratory disease. A total 465 isolates were tested during 2017–2022 period for susceptibility Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (n = 137), Streptococcus suis 207), Pasteurella multocida 121) by disk diffusion method. results interpreted CLSI breakpoints, where available. High rates (from 90 >99%) observed cefquinome, ceftiofur, amoxicillin + clavulanic acid, amoxicillin, penicillin, ampicillin, florfenicol, enrofloxacin, marbofloxacin, trimethoprim–sulfamethoxazole. A. showed high streptomycin (77%), gentamycin (45%), tilmicosin (39%) erythromycin (33%), oxytetracycline (19%), tetracycline (18%). For S. suis, highest (98%), (75%), (72%), doxycycline (52%), (51%). P. presented a rate (63%), (29%), (13%), (14%). Bacteria maintained against agents usually used mainly tract pathogens swine. Resistance streptomycin, tetracycline, oxytetracycline, all

Pharmacokinetic / Pharmacodynamic Relationships of a Combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid against Streptococcus Suis, Pasteurella Multocida and Actinobacillus Pleuropneumoniae

Conclusions: From these results, the combination of AMX+CA should have an excellent therapeutic effect against Ss and Pm and up to the MIC 50 of App (81% of the isolates) as T >MIC of 40% is considered the required minimum effective level (3). This was confirmed in the artificial challenge study using an App isolate with an MIC of 0.25μg/ml (4). AMX is very rapidly absorbed and excreted (5) whe...

Serological patterns of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida and Streptococcus suis in pig herds affected by pleuritis

BACKGROUND Respiratory illness is traditionally regarded as the disease of the growing pig, and has historically mainly been associated to bacterial infections with focus on Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. These bacteria still are of great importance, but continuously increasing herd sizes have complicated the scenario and the influence of secondary invaders may ha...

Virulence genes and antimicrobial resistance of Pasteurella multocida isolated from poultry and swine

Pasteurella multocida causes atrophic rhinitis in swine and fowl cholera in birds, and is a secondary agent in respiratory syndromes. Pathogenesis and virulence factors involved are still poorly understood. The aim of this study was to detect 22 virulence-associated genes by PCR, including capsular serogroups A, B and D genes and to evaluate the antimicrobial susceptibility of P. multocida stra...

Isolation, antimicrobial resistance, and virulence genes of Pasteurella multocida strains from swine in China.

A total of 233 isolates of Pasteurella multocida were obtained from 2,912 cases of clinical respiratory disease in pigs in China, giving an isolation rate of 8.0%. Serogroup A P. multocida isolates were isolated from 92 cases (39.5%), and serogroup D isolates were isolated from 128 cases (54.9%); 12 isolates (5.2%) were untypeable. P. multocida was the fourth most frequent pathogenic bacterium ...

In vitro activities of florfenicol against bovine and porcine respiratory tract pathogens.

Florfenicol in vitro activities for a total of 756 bacterial isolates from respiratory tract infections of cattle and swine were comparatively investigated by the agar diffusion method and the microdilution broth method. Florfenicol showed high in vitro activity against Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, and Streptococcus suis, with all of the isolat...
